With over 25 years of combined experience in the hospitality industry, and a growing portfolio of premium, organic Spanish wines under our belt, we decided it was time to establish our own company.
Kim's career in the hospitality industry started at age 15 working as a banquet server at a Radisson Hotel in Milwaukee, WI. She started bartending there shortly after her 16th birthday, and continued to bartend throughout University. She left Madison, WI after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies, packed up and moved to Orlando in 2012.
She started her Florida career working for a Starwood property, where she met Chavely, and eventually landed a Beverage Manager position at Streamsong Resort in 2016, thus moving her to Tampa where she currently resides.
Kim has created cocktail and wine lists for Marriott properties, including the Westin Tampa Waterside and The Current Hotel, as well as private golf properties and family owned restaurants.
Although her passion has morphed into cocktails and spirits, she still has a curious palate for wine, and is constantly challenging tradition with innovation, while keeping the soul of the grape in the glass.
Kim has a passion for the industry and is always looking to utilize her skills to make beverage programs more efficient, more profitable, and with a more educated team.
Chavely was born and raised in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico. Her family carries a rich history in making giant batches of sangria at family gatherings while her aunt danced to the sound of her uncle's guitar. The brand, Red Skirt Wines, came from those memories. She also started bartending at a young age, and after University, found herself working for the airlines for 8 years. When trying to decide where to lay down roots, she moved to Miami, and eventually to Orlando where she met Kim working for the same Starwood property.
She has earned her title as a Mojito Master and has competed for various brands, but nothing compares to her infectious, yet welcoming, personality when she is behind the bar. She has a way of making everyone that walks into her space feel like family, and she carries that mentality into the business of producing, importing, and selling her family's wine.
Cha has always been on a track to something bigger than herself, and she's just getting started,
